About

ATX Alerts

Earlier awareness for your neighborhood and commute. ATX Alerts turns public Austin Fire and Austin Traffic incident reports into a focused local feed. It checks for new public reports about every three minutes; an agency must publish an incident before it can appear. See reported locations on a map and receive timely notifications about grass fires and other fire activity, plus collisions, road closures, and incidents that may affect traffic. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Location access is optional. • We request it only when you tap Find my neighborhood. • Neighborhood matching happens on your device. • ATX Alerts does not upload your location, save it to your account, use it for road alerts, or track it in the background. • You can always select an alert area manually. STAY INFORMED YOUR WAY • Browse current alerts without an account. • Create a free account for notifications in one neighborhood. • View about 14 days of recent incident history. • Upgrade to Premium to monitor multiple neighborhoods, roads, and highways. • Share an alert as an image or text. • Open reported incident locations in Maps. COVERAGE AROUND AUSTIN Choose from selected neighborhoods and nearby communities across the Austin area. ATX Alerts uses official boundaries where available and custom alert areas where needed. Road monitoring matches common road-name variations in public incident reports; it never uses your device location. Premium is a monthly subscription that renews automatically unless canceled through your App Store subscription settings. IMPORTANT ATX Alerts displays public data from Austin Fire and Austin Traffic. It is not an emergency service and does not replace 911, official warnings, evacuation notices, or instructions from public authorities. Public agency information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, changed, removed, or unavailable. Coverage and matching are approximate, and some local incidents may not appear.
