About

Crema

Features

Crema is an espresso journal that tells you what to try next. Pull a shot, tap once, and Crema turns your log into a clear next step: grind finer, pull longer, fix your puck prep, or keep it just as it is. A COACH, NOT A SPREADSHEET After every shot, the dial-in coach picks one change for the next one, based on how it tasted, how it ran, your basket, and your best shot so far. Sour and slow? Pull a longer ratio instead of choking the machine. Fast and bitter? That's channeling, so it says to fix the puck, not the grind. A STARTING POINT FOR EVERY NEW BAG Open a new bag and Crema suggests the first dose, ratio, time, and grind from your best shots on similar coffee: the same coffee, the same roaster, or the same roast. The brew timer starts right there. SEE YOUR DIAL-IN PATH Each bag's shots appear as a path toward the sweet spot: "sour → balanced, grind 18 → 16". Insights show when your beans taste best off roast (per roaster), what each shot costs, and how consistent your week was. Every claim says how many shots it's based on. BREW TIMER A big dial with haptic checkpoints, an optional tap every five seconds so you can time by feel, and a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Enter the yield when you stop and the shot is logged. ON YOUR WRIST Run the brew timer on Apple Watch, with haptic checkpoints that keep going while your wrist is down. Set the yield with the Digital Crown, rate the shot, and it lands in your iPhone log. Watch-face complications show days off roast and maintenance that's due. SIRI, SHORTCUTS, AND WIDGETS "Tell Crema about my shot: 18 in, 40 out, 32 seconds, a bit bitter." "Repeat my last shot in Crema." "How should I dial in with Crema?" Home and Lock Screen widgets show the bean in your hopper, its days off roast, and maintenance that's due. Pull a shot from Control Center. EVERYTHING A BARISTA TRACKS Pre-infusion, basket, puck prep, water, drink type, sour-to-bitter and body scales, grinder zero point, freezer time that doesn't count toward rest, bag price, and finished bags. Backflush, descale, and burr-wear reminders are based on how much coffee actually went through your grinder. Presets for popular grinders and machines fill in the settings for you. SHARE, IMPORT, AND BACK UP Share any recipe with a friend as a link or QR code. Import your shots, beans, and grinders from a backup or a supported export file. Back everything up to one file, photos included, or export CSV for your spreadsheets. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No sign-in. No analytics. No tracking. Your log syncs through your own private iCloud, or stays on this device. We run no servers and can't see your data. The coach runs on your device. FREE, WITH AN OPTIONAL TIP JAR Every feature is free. If Crema helps your mornings, you can leave a tip. It unlocks nothing and keeps Crema independent. iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple silicon Mac. Localized in 11 languages.
