Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Zagol at 100% against Donkey Drive's 50%. Zagol also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Donkey Drive's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Donkey Drive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zagol has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Zagol's written reviews are positive against 50% of Donkey Drive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Zagol ships an update every 5 weeks, Donkey Drive every 2 days. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
