unmapped is a cultural place-discovery app for readers and travellers. It looks away from the obvious route and gathers quieter places into editorial themes you can read, save, and find on a map. Each issue follows a cultural thread: academies, old towns, guild halls, stone inscriptions, medicinal gardens, rivers, markets, theatres, and other places where local memory is still visible. Open a theme from the home screen, then read each article for historical context, travel notes, images, and map position. This summer, travelling with the schoolbook has become a new way to choose a cultural route. The app now includes a Yongzhou issue: Liu Zongyuan's ten years of water, stone, exile, and language; Liuzi Temple, Yuxi Stream, the Little Stone Pool site, Chaoyang Rock inscriptions, Pingzhou Academy, Wuxi Stele Forest, Jiangyong Nüshu Garden, Goulan Yao Village, Shanggantang Ancient Village, and Jiuyi Mountain. The issue lets a textbook passage, local inscriptions, academy traditions, mountain villages, and living heritage share one map. The app supports five languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. It can follow your system language, or you can switch language manually inside the app. Interface, content, search, and saved places stay in one language. Features: - Weekly selections of quieter cultural places - Three editorial paths: landscapes, city memory, and everyday life - Articles with image, map position, and practical notes - Wishlist for places you want to keep - A submission page for cities, places, or clues you hope to see next Place information is intended for cultural preparation before a trip. Please confirm opening hours, tickets, and transport with local notices before travelling.
