Kosher Calm is a meditation app that meets halachic (Jewish law) standards and is designed to reduce stress. It features a practice rooted in the guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, who in the 1970s urged health practitioners to develop a kosher practice specifically targeting stress. Kosher Calm responds to that call. The app was developed by Rabbi Aryeh Siegel, a former senior executive at Transcendental Meditation, who resigned decades ago over ethical concerns. There is nothing to study first. The visual animation teaches you the method step-by-step as you follow along. Find a comfortable seat, tap Begin, and let it guide you through a 15–20 minute session. FOUR DOORWAYS • Morning Calm — Start your morning before picking up your phone. • A Stressful Moment — A quick 10-minute session to reset when stress strikes. • Stressful Day? Unwind — Let go of daily tension and settle your mind. • Erev Shabbos Reset — Unwind before candle-lighting and arrive at Shabbos fully present. Includes an open timer for self-paced practice. FEATURES & HIGHLIGHTS • Practice Reminders: Set quiet daily nudges for morning, evening, or pre-Shabbos reminders. All settings stay privately on your device. • Full English & Hebrew Support: Every session, animation, video, and teaching is completely bilingual. • Guided by the Rebbe’s Vision: The Rebbe viewed meditation through a therapeutic lens—a valuable tool for stress relief rather than a spiritual lifestyle. Read these guidelines in the app before you begin. • Go Deeper: Explore the science of the relaxation response, read book excerpts, and get clear answers to common questions. • 100% Free for Everyone: Kosher Calm is completely free—with special dedication to active IDF soldiers, reservists, Magen David Adom, Hatzalah, and ZAKA volunteers, and families facing stress or hardship. Kosher Calm is a project of TM Deception, a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity sustained entirely by donor support.
