Verdict
Project Iris and 腕能精灵 both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Project Iris's written reviews are positive against 50% of 腕能精灵's. Project Iris also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Project Iris sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 腕能精灵 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Project Iris against 5.0 for 腕能精灵. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Project Iris has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Project Iris's written reviews are positive against 50% of 腕能精灵's.
Project Iris ships an update every 4 days, 腕能精灵 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
