CasaRay is an Apple-native smart-home controller for Home Assistant and optional Apple Home accessories. A calm hierarchy turns a large home into a useful summary first, then groups, rooms, and individual devices. Control lights, locks, gates, garage doors, covers, climate, scenes, cameras, energy, waste schedules, and household presence without flattening everything into one endless dashboard. CasaRay Free connects one complete Home Assistant home with no device-count cutoff. It includes live state and controls, camera snapshots and single-camera live viewing, camera activity, basic notifications, widgets, personalization, Apple Watch status and manual controls, and bounded manual CarPlay controls. On iPhone and iPad, you can also opt in to Apple Home, select accessories, combine matching devices deliberately, and use supported cameras through Apple's protected native sessions. CasaRay Plus adds multi-camera Live Wall on iPad and Mac, searchable notification history and rules, Home Assistant dashboards inside CasaRay, advanced navigation and dashboard placement, and—where available—the experimental Assistant. Assistant supports chat, realtime voice, selected images, home questions, diagnostics, permitted controls, and optional public web search. It requires a separately eligible ChatGPT account and is unavailable in the mainland China storefront. OpenAI controls account eligibility, models, voices, limits, and service availability. All other Free and Plus features remain available without Assistant. CasaRay is local-first. Home Assistant and ChatGPT credentials are stored in Keychain. Everyday smart-home data stays on your devices unless you enable a clearly described optional service. OpenAI never receives your Home Assistant credential or a direct connection to your home.
