BoxFax makes faxing with your Fritz!Box easier than ever. Send and receive faxes directly from your iPhone or iPad, without cumbersome web interfaces or separate fax machines. With version 2.0 BoxFax faxes even more reliably. The new direct sending transmits with error correction, the recipient confirms every page individually, and you know exactly how each fax turned out. If a fax could not be confirmed for sure, BoxFax tells you so that nothing arrives twice. TWO WAYS TO SEND • The fax function of the Fritz!Box as the standard. BoxFax uploads the finished fax to the Fritz!Box, which transmits it itself. No further setup, also works on the go via MyFRITZ! or VPN. • Direct sending via CAPI (PRO). BoxFax creates the fax itself, the Fritz!Box only sets up the phone connection. With error correction (ECM) and up to 14,400 bit/s, every page is confirmed individually, cancelling stops the transmission safely, and several numbers send several faxes at once. • Switch on CAPI over TCP right from BoxFax, it detects the fax numbers of your Fritz!Box itself. • Every fax shows which way it went out. EASY CONNECTION • An introduction at first launch explains what you need and which way to send suits you • Secure connection with SSL/TLS • Manage multiple Fritz!Box profiles • VPN support for on-the-go faxing FAX DOCUMENTS • PDF and images (PNG, JPG, HEIC, GIF) • Scan documents with your camera • Files from iCloud Drive and Files app • Share Extension to fax from any app • Automatic fax header with sender and date • Optional cover page with logo PROFESSIONAL FEATURES • Progress and time remaining as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with cancel • A notification tells you how a fax turned out, even while BoxFax is in the background • Queue with automatic redial when busy • Search the history by name and number • Integration with iOS Contacts • Local fax history with preview • Retrieve received faxes from Fritz!Box PRIVACY • All data stays in your local network • No cloud services or third parties • Your documents are never sent to the internet You need a Fritz!Box with telephony and at least one internet phone number. For the standard way, the fax function of the Fritz!Box must be set up. Direct sending needs CAPI over TCP (can be switched on in BoxFax) and works on the home network or via VPN. From iOS 26 it keeps running in the background. BoxFax users run it with FRITZ!OS 7 and 8 on Fritz!Box 4060, 5590 Fiber, 5690 Pro, 6490 Cable, 6591 Cable, 6660 Cable, 6670 Cable, 6690 Cable, 7490, 7530, 7530 AX, 7590, 7590 AX and 7690, also as 1&1 and Vodafone variants. BoxFax is an independent project and has no affiliation with AVM. CREDITS App icon design: Lorraine Sandmann (lorrainesandmann.de) Direct sending with SpanDSP (GNU LGPL 2.1) and libtiff
