Pocket Beacon vs BondCasts

Beacon is a special membership program that offers unparalleled and ad-free access to Critical Role and its vast video and podcast library, exclusive pre-sales for live events, invitation to a private Discord server, and a persistent discount on merchandise throughout all international online shops! By becoming a Beacon member, you’ll unlock special bonus content like Critical Role Cooldown and Fireside Chats, same-day Critical Role podcast releases alongside the VODs, and more, all while directly supporting creator-owned independent media.

BondCasts is the podcast app I always wanted, so I built it. Podcasts are one of the last truly open corners of the internet: an open feed, a file, and you. BondCasts is built to keep it that way. It is a player that is simple enough to hand to anyone, deep enough to reward people who love tuning every detail, and honest about the fact that your listening is yours. SIMPLE BY DEFAULT Open the app and press play. The things you do every day are one tap away, and the complexity stays out of your way until you go looking for it. CUSTOMIZABLE TO THE CORE Rearrange your library, build smart playlists that fill themselves, fine-tune playback, and shape the app around how you listen. MADE FOR POWER USERS - On-device transcripts you can read and follow along with, generated privately on your device - Automatic chapters, plus chapters provided by the show - Playback speed, per-show settings, and audio effects like voice boost - Up-next queue and smart playlists driven by your own rules - Download for offline listening - Sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your own private iCloud - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets - Siri and Shortcuts support - Handoff to pick up right where you left off on another device - Import and export your subscriptions as standard OPML, any time WHAT WE PROMISE - We do not track you. No accounts, no analytics, no profiles. Your subscriptions, history, and habits live on your devices and in your own private iCloud. The only thing our notification service ever sees is which public feeds want new-episode alerts, tied to a random ID, never to you. - We do not hold your data hostage. Export your subscriptions as OPML whenever you want. Your library is yours to take with you. - We do not show you ads. No banners, no tracking pixels, no feed full of "recommended" noise. Just the shows you chose to follow. BONDCASTS PRO An optional upgrade unlocks the extra-mile features for enthusiasts. Everything core to listening stays free. BondCasts is a podcast app made by someone who loves podcasts, for people who love podcasts. That is the whole idea.
