The Pivotal Field App is designed to help customers collect biodiversity data in the field. The app allows you to electronically collect, edit, and visualise data in the field using your mobile phone, even where there is no mobile data coverage. It shows the location of the sample points within a site and where you are in relation to them. It helps you navigate to each sample point and allows you to log what you do at each sample point; for example, logging which device was deployed and taking photos to log precise data collection locations. The data collected is then organised and analysed first with Pivotal’s proprietary machine learning models, then quality-checked by ecosystem experts to determine the state of nature. In this way, Pivotal links biodiversity commitments and actions to real, evidenced outcomes.
