The app has no built-in library, no account, no ads, and collects no data. Playback • Projections: 360°, 180°, fisheye, cubemap, flat. Videos with Apple APMP projection metadata are detected automatically; others are guessed from the file name and aspect ratio, or set by hand. • Stereo: side-by-side (SBS), over-under (OU), MV-HEVC spatial video. • Formats: mp4, mov, m4v, mkv, avi, webm, ts and more; formats the iPhone cannot play natively are handled by the built-in FFmpeg. • Raw Insta360 .insv files play directly (X3, X4, X5, X6, ONE RS 1-inch), with gyro horizon leveling. Viewing • Handheld: turn the phone to look around, drag with a finger, pinch to zoom. • Headset mode: split-screen for both eyes, with lens distortion, chromatic aberration, IPD and field of view set for Cardboard-type headsets. • Game controllers and keyboards are supported. Files Play in place from the Files app without copying; link an iCloud or NAS folder and only its location is remembered; in-app files can be organized into folders, moved and renamed, and a folder can play continuously. A sample 360° video, filmed by us, can be downloaded from Settings. Suila VR Pro (one-time purchase, Family Sharing supported) • Direct NAS access: connect to a NAS over SMB; credentials are kept in the device keychain. • Automatic captions and translation: on-device speech recognition and translation; audio does not leave the device (iPhone 12 or later). • Insta360 conversion: raw dual-fisheye files to 360° HEVC video with APMP metadata, up to 5760×2880, in batches. • Spatial video: convert SBS / OU to MV-HEVC. • APMP: add Apple projection metadata to existing 360° videos.
