Verus is a private messenger for people who already know each other. Messages are encrypted on your phone and can only be opened on the phone they were sent to. YOU CHOOSE WHO CAN REACH YOU Verus does not ask for your phone number and does not upload your contacts. You share your own code with the people you want to hear from, by showing your screen or sending a link, and they arrive as a request you can accept or decline. Nobody can message you unless you have accepted them. VERIFIED WHEN IT MATTERS For conversations where it matters who is on the other end, Verus can attach a verified identity from Confrmo to your account, which the other person can check for themselves. It is optional, it expires and you can remove it at any time. WRITE IN YOURS, THEY READ IN THEIRS Type in your own language and your message arrives in theirs, in twenty languages. Translation happens on your phone using Apple's built-in translation, and the original text is always shown with it. SAFE TO USE Verus is for adults aged 18 and over. Everyone agrees to our terms before using it, and we do not tolerate abusive behaviour or objectionable content. You can report or block anyone from any conversation, reports are reviewed within 24 hours and accounts that break the terms are removed. How to contact us is in the app and at verusapp.co.uk. VIDEO MEETINGS WITH VERUS MEET Start a video meeting from New meeting and share the link. Guests join in their browser, with nothing to install and no account to make. Schedule a meeting from any chat or team channel and everyone gets a calendar invite that opens in Apple, Google and Outlook calendars. Meetings run on Verus's own infrastructure in London. VOICE CALLS Call anyone you have accepted, straight from the conversation. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Our servers pass encrypted messages along and cannot read them, and a message is removed from the server once it has been delivered. Groups, attachments and disappearing message timers are all encrypted on your phone. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Verus is run by Verus Communications Ltd. What our servers hold is published at verusapp.co.uk. VERUS PLUS Verus is free on one phone. Verus Plus adds your Mac and iPad to the same account, up to five devices, with no limit on calls and meetings, and keeps undelivered messages for up to 90 days. It is Β£0.99 a week, Β£2.99 a month or Β£29.99 a year in the UK; prices in other regions are shown in the app before you buy. A subscription renews at the same price at the end of each term unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the term ends, and your Apple account is charged. You can manage or cancel it in Settings under your name. Terms of use: https://verusapp.co.uk/terms/ Privacy policy: https://verusapp.co.uk/privacy/
