Know what's passing Earth, and what to step outside for tonight. Asteroid Alerts follows every near-Earth asteroid, fireball and meteor shower that matters, and puts the one thing worth knowing on a single screen. TODAY The featured event: an asteroid on NASA's impact-risk list, a close flyby, a shower at its peak. TONIGHT Everything in your sky tonight, each with its own viewing window: the Moon, the planets, active meteor showers, comets bright enough to find, close pairings of the Moon and planets, and aurora when a forecast reaches your latitude. Times and directions are computed for your time zone's main city, or for where you are if you share an approximate location, with where to look. CALENDAR The next sixty days of flybys, meteor showers, eclipses, comets, aurora and mission milestones, day by day, with filters for each. ASTEROID PAGES Every asteroid passing nearby with its size and close approach distance, NASA's impact odds, and what an impact of that size would actually mean. LEARN Illustrated guides, from asteroids and comets to meteors, aurora, the Moon and planets, and the missions visiting them. ALERTS WHEN IT MATTERS Get notified when an asteroid is added to NASA's impact-risk list, when a rare close flyby is coming, when a major fireball lights up the sky, and when a mission reaches a milestone. Know about tonight's sky for meteor shower peaks, eclipses, strong aurora and bright comets. FREE. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS.
