Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Waxstat at 49 against WPAT's 1. Waxstat also leads on chart position (#81 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waxstat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and WPAT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Waxstat against 5.0 for WPAT. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waxstat has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Waxstat ships an update every 3 weeks, WPAT fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
