Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Vortex Fitness at none against SmartClass App's shown. Vortex Fitness also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (316 vs 4). SmartClass App's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Vortex Fitness against 5.0 for SmartClass App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vortex Fitness has 316 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Vortex Fitness ships an update every 2 months, SmartClass App every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
