Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Countdown at Free against Fishful's $0.99. Countdown also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 1). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Countdown is free to download; Fishful costs $0.99 up front. Fishful sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Fishful against 5.0 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
