AACPlayground
Read full descriptionHide full description
This app is a simple Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tool for minimally verbal and non-verbal children to use while playing with other children who can't understand them. It's useful when communicating with children who may not know sign language. Kids can scroll through images and phrases in the app on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch and tap on them to have the app read requests aloud for other kids to hear. Phrases such as "Play with me" and "Let's go to the slide" are included.
SpeakQuest

This augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app helps non-verbal children communicate using an electronic device. The child can tap buttons with words, phrases, or pictures — and the app speaks the selected text out loud. It also lets the child type their own messages to express exactly what they want to say.
