This app is used to troubleshoot domain based email problems. It allows you to add any number of domains (limited by the hardware you are running it on) to test your DNS resolvers. Specifically, for BIMI, DMARC, NS, MX, SPF, and WhoIs records. The data is stored locally after a DNS refresh request has been performed. You can refresh one domain, or all of them at the same time. Once the domain data has been gathered, you can save a snapshot (or more). If a snapshot is different than the current information, the snapshot will highlight so you can review the changes. If you have a DMARC reporter configured, quick reports can also be made. Currently supported DMARC providers are Postmarkapp.com and Demarkreport.com. With access to other DMARC reporter's API, I can add others. Features: - Look up domain records using the default name servers, or from a list of public nameservers. - Domains can have a spefified default name server. - Domain look ups can be saved, and are tested for differences with last domain refresh - WhoIs information is also saved and is tested for differences domain refresh. - Many on-line DNS tools are simple click from within the app. - DNS records collected are: BIMI, DMARC, NS, MX, and SPF. - Whois record is collected - A set of example domains can be added as a quick start. - Mail can be sent to the domain MailTo using the host mail client - Refresh a single domain's DNS records or all of your configured domain's DNS records Roadmap: - Domain PDF reports can be email'ed or printed - Mail can be sent to a specific MX server.

About

DMARC Aide

Features

Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (or DMARC for short) Made Easy DMARC Aide helps you manage DMARC Feedback Reports and offender IPs with ease to help protect your domain from email spoofing and phishing attacks. Easily parse DMARC reports to identify authentication issues and potential security threats. You can even export a list of malicious IPs for bulk reporting to services like AbuseIP DB. The app maintains the bookkeeping of an IP List, which will be automatically generated based on the IP addresses encountered in the DMARC report. This list can also be exported as CSV for analytics and reporting. In a typical use case of DMARC setups rejecting email sender spoofing IPs to impersonate your entity's email, the automatically harvested list of IPs can also be used for black-listing and consideration for further cybersecurity measures. Don't know what DMARC is or how to set it up? DMARC Aide has some tutorials for it as well - built in to the app itself! New as of version 2.x: point DMARC Aide at a language model, running locally through LM Studio, on another machine on your network, or in the cloud, and ask it questions about the report you have open. Ask it to summarize the failures, explain a specific IP, check policy alignment, or judge whether a given failure looks like spoofing or ordinary mail forwarding. A built-in DNS utility runs live SPF, DKIM, and DMARC lookups against your domain from inside the app, and offending IPs can be checked against and reported to AbuseIPDB in one click. If you are setting up DMARC for the first time, DMARC Aide includes tutorials covering how to publish a policy and how to read your first report.
