About

Prayer Cycles

Features

Most of us mean to pray for people. We just forget who, and when. Prayer Cycles keeps the people and things you care about in rotation, so nobody quietly falls off the end of the list. HOW IT WORKS Make a prayer list for any circle of life: immediate family, friends, coworkers, your church, your town. Give each list a rhythm, from every day to once a year, and set the interval yourself: every day, every three weeks, every six months. Each day, the app surfaces one prayer from every active list and gathers them under Today's Prayers. It always chooses whoever you have prayed for least, so the list moves through everyone instead of circling the same few names. You never have to decide where you left off. THE TIMEBOX When you want to sit down and pray, open the Time Box. Set how long to spend on each prayer and it works out the total, or set the total and let it divide the time for you. It moves through the list on its own, with a gentle sound between each one, so you can close your eyes and stay with it rather than watching a clock. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO There are no streaks, no counters, no charts, and no record of how long you prayed or when. Nothing is scored. This is meant to be a quiet place rather than a wall of achievements, and it will never make you feel behind. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your device. There are no accounts to make, no servers to trust, no analytics, and no tracking. The app makes no network requests at all and works completely offline. Your lists and prayers are encrypted on your device. Export a backup whenever you like and send it wherever you want through the normal iOS share sheet, or import one to move to a new phone. ALSO INSIDE - Tags, for grouping prayers and lists across circles - Notes on any prayer, for the details you want to remember - Search across everything you have written - Five themes - English, German, Swiss German, Japanese and Mongolian - Deleted lists are recoverable for 50 days Free. No subscription, no adverts, no in-app purchases.
