Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Elite Drone at 3.6 against VA's 3.0. VA's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (34 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Elite Drone holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VA has 34 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Elite Drone's written reviews are positive against 33% of VA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Elite Drone ships an update every 8 months, VA every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
