Remote for Hisense TV puts the whole remote on your iPhone, whichever smart system your Hisense happens to run. VIDAA, Android TV, Google TV, Roku TV or Fire TV — the app works out which one it is talking to and connects the right way, so you never have to know. Remote slipped between the cushions? Batteries gave up just as the film started? Open the app and power, volume, channels, the arrow pad and OK are right under your thumb. If you'd rather glide than tap, flip to the touchpad and swipe through the menus. One tap on the search key takes the TV straight to its search screen, and on Android TV models your favourite services open from the iPhone as well. More than one Hisense in the house? Add each of them once — living room, bedroom, kitchen — and hop from one to another in a second. Getting started takes about a minute. Keep the iPhone and the television on one home Wi-Fi, tap Add TV and choose your set from the list. Some TVs show a short code the first time; type it in and that's it. If your TV stays hidden, the help pages inside the app explain the usual reasons, from a separate guest Wi-Fi to a VPN left on. Full access comes with a subscription: $4.99 a week after a 3-day free trial, or $19.99 a year. Payment is taken from the Apple ID account as soon as the purchase is confirmed. The plan carries on automatically: to end it, cancel automatic renewal 24 hours or more ahead of the next billing date, because the charge for a new period is made within the final 24 hours of the current one. Plans are changed or cancelled under Subscriptions in the Apple ID settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
