Play2Care vs AAC Messenger

Play2Care App is a joint development by APCATS, Institute of Mental Health, Singapore and Taggle Pte Ltd. This app is specially designed for caregivers of persons with dementia. It is a learning resource that caregivers can access anytime to learn strategies for better communication with persons with dementia. The game covers scenarios that caregivers commonly face with persons with dementia (e.g. reversed sleep-wake patterns, constantly asking for food, agitation). For each scenario, caregivers will be guided to apply the T.A.N.G.O (Tender approach, Acknowledge emotions and unmet needs, No challenging, Get into simple conversation, Optimise environment) strategy to engage and communicate with the person with dementia more effectively. The app also contains interactive games that caregivers can play together with the person with dementia.

AAC Messenger is finally bringing technology into nonverbal communication, replacing physical AAC tools with a seamless digital solution. Our app empowers individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other speech impairments, enabling them to connect with family, educators, and caregivers effortlessly.
