Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner at 30K against Clear Wave's 56. Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and chart position (#41 vs unranked). Clear Wave's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Clear Wave sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner has 30K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner's written reviews are positive against 67% of Clear Wave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Water Eject ‒ Speaker Cleaner ships an update every 3 weeks, Clear Wave weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 7, 2026 respectively.
