About

Y+ Calculator

This app calculates the necessary grid spacing for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. It helps engineers determine near-wall cell height for accurate viscous flow computations. Supports both SI and Imperial units.

Highlights
  • Calculate grid spacing for target y+ values
  • Supports viscous CFD computations
  • Works in SI or Imperial units
  • Resets to sea-level conditions
  • Based on established fluid mechanics theory

Y+ Calculator is a handy tool for calculating the grid spacing at a wall to achieve a target y+ value for viscous computational fluid dynamics (CFD) computations. Simply specify the flow conditions, the desired y+ value, and compute your grid spacing. If you are an engineer running viscous CFD computations, achieving a target value for y+ in your grid is essential for both resolved and wall function grids for accurate results. Save time by computing your near-wall cell height for the boundary layer before generating your grid. The Y+ Calculator works in either SI or Imperial units and quickly resets to sea-level conditions. This utility is brought to you by Cadence Design Systems. Note: Computations are based on flat-plate boundary layer theory from Frank M. White’s Fluid Mechanics 5th edition, page 467.

About

MultiiCalc

Save and reuse your important calculations. This tool lets you store named values to easily perform complex financial or cost analyses without losing track of intermediate steps. Share your results with others or export them to different applications.

Highlights
  • Save notable calculations by name
  • Calculate against saved list items
  • Track complex financial analyses
  • Share calculations with friends
  • Export calculations to other apps
  • No analytics or tracking

MultiiCalc allows you to keep your notable calculations saved to a list by name so that you can calculate other values against those list items later. Imagine you want to calculate the potential profit of a real estate investment, or the cost of a new home, perhaps the cost of a vacation. There are so many different fees and percentages that will need to be calculated that a simple calculator app will not be able to handle in one go. With MultiiCalc, you can save your values along the way and come back later - or just save and keep calculating so you don't lose track. You can even share your calculations with your friends or other apps! All of your data is YOUR data. I don't have any analytics or tracking in here, enjoy!
