Recaster and Towns both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Recaster's written reviews are positive against 80% of Towns's. Recaster also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.4). Towns's advantage is ratings volume (94 vs 15). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
