Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: ProTube at none against Viddle's shown. ProTube also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Viddle's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Viddle sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and ProTube sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ProTube holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProTube has 16K ratings behind it against 759, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of Viddle's written reviews are positive against 74% of ProTube's.
Viddle ships an update every 2 weeks, ProTube weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
