Caliper Lite vs Caliper

The app allows you to determine the percentage of body fat by the thickness of the skinfold measured by the caliper. You can also calculate the body mass index (BMI).

BMI tells you a number. Caliper tells you what it means. Enter your height, weight, age, and sex — and in seconds you see your BMI on a calm color-zoned arc, an estimate of your body fat percentage, your waist-to-height ratio, your full healthy weight range, and the exact target: "Lose 12 lbs to reach a healthy BMI." Then Caliper tracks the journey so the number becomes progress, not a verdict. WHY BMI ALONE ISN'T ENOUGH A single ratio can mislabel athletes as overweight and miss where you actually store fat. Caliper adds the context that turns a scary number into an honest read — body-fat estimate, waist-to-height ratio, a healthy range for your height, and a country benchmark that shows where you stand among people like you.
