ZimeCode
Read full descriptionHide full description
ZimeCode opens what a ZimeCode leads to. Point your camera at a code — on a ticket, a poster, a product or a screen — and its content opens in a moment. SCAN ANYWHERE IN THE IMAGE No square to aim at: the scanner searches the whole camera image and finds codes in any position and at any angle, even several at once. Codes printed right next to text or images are found too. EXACT, OR NOT AT ALL Every code is checked against its built-in redundancy before it is shown. A code the camera cannot read with certainty is simply not reported, rather than guessed. CLEAR AT A GLANCE Codes you scan appear in a list at the bottom of the screen, numbered like their outlines in the camera image — tap one to open it. A code that is not registered is marked as such. WORKS ON YOUR PHONE Scanning runs on the device itself and adapts to it, from the latest iPhone to older models. Core features are available without registration. An optional ZimeCode account gives access to additional functionality.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: ZimeCode at none against ATOSHI's shown. ZimeCode also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 7 months). ATOSHI's advantage is iOS requirement (12.3 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
