This summer you tan. You don't burn. You know the feeling. One day too long in the sun and you're red, peeling, and back to pale within a week. Or you play it safe and go home as white as you arrived. Either way: good sun, wasted. Mr. Tan is the cheat code for the perfect tan. It tells you exactly how long you can stay out today — for your skin, in your spot, right now — without burning. No more guessing. One number: your safe time, in minutes. Most weather apps hand you a UV index and leave you to figure out the rest. Mr. Tan does the math. Live UV, sun elevation, your skin type, your protection, your acclimatization, your medication — all folded into a single number you read at a glance. When your time is up, the app tells you to get in the shade. That simple. WHY YOU'LL WANT IT Know how strong the sun is right now — live UV and sun elevation, the second you open the app. A sun time that's actually yours. Built around your skin type (Fitzpatrick I–VI), your factor (SPF 6 → 50+), your cream, oil, spray or stick, your acclimatization and your age. Not a one-size-fits-all rule. Start a session and let Mr. Tan do the counting. It taps you on the shoulder when it's time to reapply, turn over or drink water — at calculated moments, not options picked from a dropdown. Eyes closed, phone down. The app speaks up: "Time to reapply." "Turn over." "Drink water." Going away? Plan your trip and see, day by day, how strong the sun gets and when you'll tan best — with peak UV, your best window and days remaining right on your home screen. See at a glance when the sun is worth it without the dangerous midday peak — and when you've caught enough for your vitamin D. Share your session straight to your stories, ready-made for Instagram and TikTok. Set your own tanning goal by day, week or month. Light or dark theme. Fully available in English, Dutch and French. FREE TO TRY. THEN NEVER PAY AGAIN. 3 days free. After that, unlock Mr. Tan forever for €0.99. Once. No subscription, no ads. You're backing an independent developer — not a company selling your data. Your profile and location stay on your device. Full stop. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE Mr. Tan gives a science-based estimate, not a medical diagnosis. Individual variation in burn time is significant. Always avoid burning, use sun protection, and consult a doctor if you notice unusual skin changes or suspect sunstroke.
