Fine Volume Control lets you adjust iPhone system volume in small steps from within the app. It is not a volume booster. Key features • On-screen controls in 1% steps • Precision mode with 0.1% steps • Mute • Save frequently used volume levels as presets with names and icons • Customize the colors of the standard design • Access presets from Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets • Apply saved presets with Shortcuts • Use Safety Max to limit volume values set through the app The app sends volume values to the iPhone in 1% or 0.1% steps. The smallest change and available range actually applied depend on the iPhone and the connected earphones, speakers, or other audio device. The side buttons continue to use the iPhone’s standard volume steps. Free and Pro The free version includes the standard design, color customization, one preset with a name and icon, widgets, and Shortcuts. You can also turn Safety Max on or off for free. Pro unlocks additional designs, including Zen Garden and Sky, up to six presets, changes to the legacy widget’s dedicated volume value, and changes to the Safety Max limit. Widgets and Shortcuts Widgets for selecting saved presets require iOS 17 or later. Choose a saved preset or the legacy widget’s dedicated volume value. Tapping a widget opens the app and applies the volume. Applying saved presets with Shortcuts requires iOS 17 or later. Naming a preset “Sleep” does not create a schedule, timer, or automatic action. Control Center On iOS 18 or later, add a dedicated control to access a selected preset. Using the control opens the app and applies the saved volume. Safety Max When enabled, Safety Max limits volume values set through the app. A brief notice appears on the main screen when the requested volume exceeds the limit. Changing the limit requires Pro. Sky Switch between Sunrise and Moonrise, then drag up or down on the sky to adjust the volume. Bluetooth and external audio devices Depending on the device and connection method, fine values requested by the app may be applied in larger steps.

App Volume saves a target media volume for each app on iPhone and iPad. After you install the shortcut template and configure its App trigger, opening or switching to a selected app applies its saved level to the system media volume. Note: Due to system limitations, this app cannot keep independent volume levels for two apps playing at the same time. The volume of music playing in the background may also change. — HOW IT WORKS — 1. Create a mode and add your apps with their target volumes (TikTok 30%, Podcast 70%, Netflix 80%). 2. Install Per-App Volume in Apple Shortcuts. On iOS 27, select apps in the App trigger at the top of the template. On earlier versions, follow the in-app guide to create a Personal Automation. 3. When you add an app rule, also add that app to the trigger in Shortcuts. Changing volumes or switching modes does not require editing the shortcut. 4. Add the widget to Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Control Center — tap to switch the whole mode in one go. — NEW: HEADPHONE VOLUMES — Turn on "Separate headphone volume" for any app to give it a second, headphone-only level. Bluetooth helper automations handle the switch when they run; wired headphones aren't supported. — USE CASES — • A volume per app — Podcast 70%, music 60%, video 80%. Set once; switching apps auto-applies. • Ears vs room — TikTok at 25% on AirPods, 60% on the speaker. — FEATURES — • Saved volume per app: applies the preset to the system media volume when you open the app • Headphone volumes — a second per-app volume that applies while Bluetooth headphones are connected • Modes — bundle rules into named modes, swap the whole set instantly • Global rules — pin an app's volume across every mode; great for games that should always open muted • Ready-made modes — browse Discover, install Bedtime or Silent Game Ads in one tap • Share your setup — send any mode as a picture + link a friend can import • Widgets everywhere — Lock Screen, Home Screen, Control Center (iOS 18+): see the active mode, tap to switch • Switch notifications — silent banner by default, sound + haptic, or off • iCloud backup — modes backed up to your iCloud — GOOD TO KNOW — Headphone volume requires the Bluetooth helper automations. After disconnection, the speaker volume may take a few seconds to return. Wired headphones are not supported. — PRIVACY FIRST — • No ad tracking or data sales.
