Well Said
Read full descriptionHide full description
Textbooks teach you "the cat is under the table." Real life needs "excuse me, I think you skipped the queue." Well Said lets you learn a new language in your own words: the sentences you actually need, the ones you wished you'd had ready when the moment came. Say it in your own language, and Well Said turns it into a natural translation and a flashcard, ready to practise. RECORD IT Tap the mic and say what you want to be able to say. Well Said works out which language you spoke and translates it the way a native speaker would actually put it, not word for word. Can't talk out loud right now? Type it instead. Before anything is saved, you can check the card and fix a word or tweak the translation. SWIPE IT Every sentence becomes a card in your stack. Nailed it? Swipe right and it's marked as learned. Still a bit wobbly? Swipe left and it comes back for another round. Swiped the wrong way? Just tap Undo. TEST YOURSELF Choose where the translation goes: on the same side, on the back of the card so you can test yourself, or reversed so you practise understanding. Tap a card to flip it. SAY IT Hear every sentence with a native voice, or tap the tortoise for the slow version. For languages with their own script, like Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic or Russian, Well Said adds a pronunciation guide in Latin letters. YOUR LIBRARY All your sentences in one place. Search them, edit them, and bring learned cards back whenever you want a refresher. MORE TO LOVE โข 27 languages, from French and Spanish to Japanese, Hindi and Vietnamese โข Casual or formal tone: talk to a friend, or impress your boss โข Shuffle your cards, or go through them in order โข Auto-play pronunciation as each card appears โข Light and dark mode โข Export your cards as a spreadsheet, or import cards from one TIP: For even more natural voices, download Apple's Enhanced or Premium voices for your language in your iPhone's Accessibility settings, under Voices. Translation and speech recognition need an internet connection. Well Said: because you've got something to say, and we'll help you say it right.
