BinVentory is an app for maintaining a wine cellar. It does not help with acquiring wines, learning about wines, evaluating wines or matching wines with food. There is no account to set up, website to log into or subscription fees to pay. No data is collected from the user; it is completely a stand-alone app. The app is aimed at a user who has enough bottles stored in some sort of 'cellar' (or perhaps two or more) that he/she cannot easily see at a glance what the options are for a Tuesday night dinner or a lavish weekend party. The focus is on cataloging these options in user-defined categories, such as wine regions, sources and storage locations, to facilitate making choices. This serves, of course, also as a reminder when certain categories are getting low and need replenishment.
