Roler is a TODO list app that incorporates role-playing elements. Key features: ● Role management 1. Create different roles and assign tasks to them, rather than directly to users. 2. Roles rotate based on a set schedule. For example, you can have a role for weekdays and another for weekends, and tasks will only appear in your 'Today' tab when you are responsible for that role. 3. Roles rotate among members. We created a role named 'Cleaner' so that we can take turns doing chores like laundry and dishes. ● Self rewarding. 1. Earn virtual credits by completing tasks and contribute a portion to the group account. 2. Spend credits from your personal or group account to redeem predefined rewards, called 'Wishitems'. Group up with your family, partner, friends, or roommates and play roles now!
Tempo

Tempo combines your to-do lists with routines that you're wired to complete. Put a routine in order, hit Start, and work through it with a timer for each task. Add Pomodoro breaks if you want. Finishing your morning routine before lunch is a perfectly respectable goal. Set tasks to repeat, keep notes on one-offs, and check your history. You can run a routine from your Apple Watch while your phone stays in your pocket. Like this description, it’s built for simplicity and no fluff. Free to use - no subscriptions either. Syncs across all your devices and stores your information securely on the cloud. No account needed to get started if you want to keep everything local.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Tempo at none against Roler's shown. Roler's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
