In the middle of the small island of Ven, Tycho Brahe made discoveries in the late 16th century that laid the foundations for both modern science and our current worldview. Through the audio guide, you can now hear the full story of Tycho and his ever-expanding universe at any time. Our audio guide will help you make the most of your visit to the place where it all happened. You'll get up close to Tycho and get to know the scientist, astronomer, nobleman and family man. You'll stand on the site of Uraniborg while listening to the story of this spectacular Renaissance palace, and you'll hear about the Stjärneborg Observatory while standing in front of the reconstruction of the most advanced observatory of the 16th century. In addition, you are invited to wander around both the Renaissance Garden and the Herb Garden/Medicine Garden for an experience that engages all the senses. The audio guide is easy to download and available 24 hours a day, both in daylight and under the stars. This means you can easily take in all that the site has to offer, whatever time of year you visit us. All you need to access the audio guide is your own smartphone and a pair of headphones.
