Check how your iPhone or iPad is working, one step at a time. Device Tester helps you check hardware, review device status, and keep a clear record of what you tested. Start with free guided checks. Go further with Pro for detailed component tests and on-device performance testing. The app is ad-free for everyone. FOLLOW A CLEAR CHECKLIST Work through guided checks for supported sensors, connections, vibration, sound, cameras, and charging. Follow the instructions, observe the response, and confirm what you experience. See which items passed, need attention, or still need to be checked. TAKE A CLOSER LOOK WITH PRO Choose the component you want to investigate across five deep-check categories: - Screen and touch: inspect color and grayscale patterns for visible issues such as dead pixels, trace touch response, and try multi-touch. - Sound and vibration: record and play back your voice, listen to speaker test tones and the receiver, and feel vibration. - Camera: check available front and rear lenses with live preview, photos, short videos, and focus checks where supported. - Sensors: observe compass and motion readings and test the proximity sensor where available. - Connectivity and more: check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth status, charging response, supported biometric authentication, and the flashlight. Browse the deep-check catalog before purchasing Pro. Run the checks you need and see your progress as you go. KEEP RESULTS YOU CAN UNDERSTAND Review guided-check reports and, with Pro, detailed deep-check reports. Revisit previous results, export inspection reports as PDFs, and combine selected category reports into a deep-check summary. Reports distinguish system readings from your confirmations. Unchecked and unsupported items are not marked as passed, so you can see exactly what the report covers. MEASURE PERFORMANCE ON YOUR DEVICE Pro runs processor and data-processing workloads locally on your iPhone or iPad. Save single-core and multi-core results to revisit later. Scores use this app's own method; compare results from the same scoring version, not scores from other benchmark apps. SEE YOUR DEVICE STATUS View available device details, battery charge, charging status, available storage, and the current network connection. Review battery and storage readings recorded while the Device or Status Monitor page is open in the foreground. History covers up to 14 days of recorded readings, rather than continuous background monitoring. OPTIONAL BATTERY LOG ANALYSIS Import a supported iOS Analytics log to view any battery fields it contains. Basic analysis is free; battery log history, comparisons, and sharing require Pro. Some logs contain no usable battery data. Missing values are not estimated, and imported values are not live battery-health measurements. FREE TO START. PRO WHEN YOU NEED MORE. Guided checks, device information, status monitoring, and basic battery log analysis are free. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase for deep checks and their detailed reports, performance tests, and battery log history and sharing. Available checks and readings depend on your device, iOS version, and permissions. Some checks require you to look, listen, touch, or move the device and confirm the result.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Device Information at none against Device Tester's 1. Device Information also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.8.3 vs 17.0). Device Tester's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
