About

SpeedCheck UK

SpeedCheck UK helps you understand UK speeding notice timelines in a calm, simple way. If you think you’ve been caught by a speed camera (or another offence that uses a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP)), you can start a countdown from the alleged offence date and get reminders as key days approach. Key features: 14-day countdown from the alleged offence date Day 10 / Day 14 / Day 15 reminders (optional notifications) Multiple countdowns (Pro) for different incidents or vehicles Ticket Check (Pro): enter key dates from a notice and get a plain-English summary of what the timeline may mean Archive past countdowns for reference What SpeedCheck UK covers: SpeedCheck UK focuses mainly on speeding, but the 14-day NIP timeline can also apply to some other moving traffic offences (for example, red-light camera offences) where a driver is not stopped at the scene. Important notes: The 14-day rule generally applies to the first NIP served on the registered keeper, not necessarily when a driver receives paperwork (especially for company, lease, or hire vehicles). SpeedCheck UK is for information only and does not provide legal advice or confirm the validity of any notice. The 14-day rule does not apply to parking fines, bus lane penalties, congestion/ULEZ charges, or other civil enforcement notices.
