Rumskrot Archives

Rumskrot Archives opens compressed archives on iPhone and iPad and lets you look inside before you unpack anything. The folder tree appears straight from the archive's own index, photos open in a real viewer, documents and source code render in place, and saving a copy is always your choice. LOOK INSIDE BEFORE YOU UNPACK Open ZIP, RAR, 7-Zip, TAR and compressed TAR archives from Files, Mail, Messages or the Share Sheet. Browse the archive's folder structure before exporting anything. Visible photos get thumbnails; previews read the content you open and nearby images. Compressed TAR archives may use temporary storage for faster browsing, controlled in Settings. A REAL PHOTO VIEWER Tap a photo and page through the whole folder: pinch and double-tap to zoom, pan around, and scrub the filmstrip along the bottom. No hand-off to another app. READ IT RIGHT THERE • PDF, Markdown, SVG and plain text render in place. • Source code is syntax-highlighted across more than 30 languages. • Supported audio and video play without leaving the archive. EVERY FORMAT, EVEN NESTED • ZIP, including ZipCrypto and WinZip AES. • RAR, including RAR5, encrypted headers and multi-volume sets. • 7-Zip, including AES and encrypted headers. • TAR, .tar.gz/.tgz, .tar.bz2 and .tar.xz. • Comic-book ZIP, RAR and 7-Zip containers. Archives inside an archive expand in the same list, through their own reader. PASSWORDS, ON YOUR TERMS Encrypted archives ask for a password only when they need one. It is forgotten when you close the archive, unless you switch on Remember this password, which stores it in the Keychain on this device only. KEEP ONLY WHAT YOU CHOOSE Opening is ephemeral by default: closing an archive releases its session and temporary storage without deleting your original file. When you do want a copy, save it deliberately to Local storage, a Private scope protected by device authentication, or a Files-visible iCloud Drive folder. Saving to iCloud is explicit; the app confirms before uploading a copy. LESS LEFT BEHIND No telemetry, analytics, accounts, ads or tracking SDKs. Preview data stays in memory when practical. When an operation needs scratch storage, it is protected at rest, excluded from backup, released when the operation or archive session ends, and checked again at the next launch. Cleanup is best effort: iOS and storage providers ultimately control their own storage. WORKS WITH THE SYSTEM Shortcuts and Siri actions can open archives, export one entry or the whole archive, save into the library, and create iCloud library folders. FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION Open one archive at a time and keep one saved archive for free. The annual subscription unlocks unlimited simultaneous open archives and unlimited saved archives. Existing files remain visible if the subscription ends. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://danskrumskrot.com/privacy
