What's for lunch today? CPS Lunch Line answers that in about five seconds. Pick your child's school once, and the menu is waiting every morning — breakfast, lunch and snack, for the grade band they're actually in. WHAT YOU SEE • The full menu exactly as the district published it — entrees, vegetables, fruit, milk and condiments. Nothing summarised, nothing quietly left out. • Breakfast, lunch and snack, one tap apart. • Pre-K, K–8 and 9–12 menus. A single school can serve six different ones in a day, and you only want yours. • The whole school week, so you can check tomorrow tonight. • After the lunch hour it moves on to tomorrow by itself, which is usually what you were about to do anyway. MORE THAN ONE CHILD Save as many schools as you need and switch between them from the title. No searching again every morning. NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-UP There is nothing to create and nothing to log into. The app never asks who you are, and which school you picked stays on your phone. ABOUT ALLERGENS Lunch Line does not show allergen or nutrition information, and that is deliberate. The published data is not consistent enough to rely on for a child with an allergy, and a partial answer would be worse than none at all. For anything about allergies, speak to your school directly. WHEN THERE IS NO MENU Some days the district has not entered one yet. Some days there is no school. Those look identical in the data, so the app says which it thinks it is instead of asserting one confidently — and if it cannot reach the menu service at all, it shows the last menu it saw and tells you it is doing that. Covers all 649 Chicago Public Schools. Free, with no advertising and nothing to buy. Lunch Line is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Chicago Public Schools.
