Speak Dhurga vs First Nations Languages

Speak Dhurga is one result of a years long collaboration project, Growing Yuin Languages. Contributors to this project include Merrimans Local Aboriginal Land Council, the Wallaga Lake Koori Village and Bermagui Communities, the Red Cross, Bega Valley Shire Council and teachers and students at Bermagui Public School. All spellings of Dhurga works and phonemes are taken from the Dhurga Dictionary and Learner's Grammar by Patricia Ellis, Kerry Boyenga and Waine Donovan. This app contains a mere snapshot of the language as described in this incredible dictionary. We acknowledge the original custodians of the land on which this app was built, the Brinja-yuin and Djiringanj people of the Yuin nation, and pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging who fought so hard to keep the Dhurga language alive. We also wish to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which you use this app.
