Smart FM vs Guitar Triad Trainer

Guitar Triad Trainer started as a simple need: I wanted to learn triads on guitar without jumping between chord charts, diagrams, and scattered shape references. Download free and start 7 days free with Monthly Access. After the trial, continue for $0.99/month unless canceled, or unlock the full trainer once for $9.99 and keep it for life. There are no ads, no account, and no cloud sync. Your practice sessions stay on your device and work offline. The app turns that manual practice process into a focused triad trainer. Pick a built-in progression or build your own loop, then practice how the chords move through nearby CAGED triad shapes. Use it to turn chord progressions into triad practice: - Set a progression you actually want to practice. - See the current chord and next chord side by side, with inversion labels. - Follow the closest playable triad shape as the chords change. - Learn major and minor triads across root, 1st, and 2nd inversions. - Turn on Show every inversion to overlay all five CAGED voicings at once. - Auto-advance by BPM with loop, or step through with Back and Next. - Practice with a metronome, downbeat accent, and arpeggiated chord sound. Make the fretboard fit your practice: - Filter by inversion and skip shapes that use open strings. - Set the fret window you want to study. - Flip string order: low E on top or bottom. - Tap any shape on the neck to focus that inversion. - Transpose any session on the fly. Capo support is included. Start fast: - Use 12+ built-in progressions with Roman numerals: Axis of Awesome, 50s Doo-wop, Pachelbel, Andalusian, jazz cadences, and more. - Build your own loop with a key-aware chord picker and drag-to-reorder. - Save sessions locally on your device. No sign-in. No sync. No setup. Optional hands-free practice lets you say "next," "back," "play," "pause," or "stop." Microphone and speech recognition are used only when Voice mode is on. Every feature works without them. Guitar Triad Trainer is built for one job: helping guitarists turn chord-chart triad study into clear, repeatable fretboard practice.
