Synctrain vs Sia Storage

With Synctrain you can securely synchronize files with other devices that have Syncthing installed. You can choose to synchronize full folders, or choose specific files. With Synctrain you can also stream audio and video files from other devices. When you synchronize files, all changes, including deleting files, also happen on your other devices. Do not use Synctrain for back-up purposes, and always keep a back-up of your data. You decide with which devices you share which files. This also means the app makers cannot help you access or recover any lost files. This app is powered by Syncthing. This app is however not associated with or endorsed by Syncthing nor its developers. Please do not expect support from the Syncthing developers. Instead, contact the maker of this app if you have questions.

Sia Storage is the world's safest cloud storage, by design. Your files are encrypted on your device before they ever leave your phone, split into 30 pieces using erasure coding, and distributed across a decentralized network of hosts worldwide. Only 10 of those 30 pieces are needed to recover your data — no single point of failure, no central server to breach. YOUR DATA, YOUR KEYS Sia Storage uses end-to-end encryption. Your recovery phrase is the only key to your data — not even Sia can access your files. No tracking, no ads, no data harvesting. STORE AND ORGANIZE Upload photos, videos, and documents. Organize files into folders, tag them for quick access, and mark favorites. Browse your library with search and filtering by file type. AUTOMATIC PHOTO BACKUP Enable archive sync to automatically back up your photo library to the Sia network. Track progress as your photos are encrypted and uploaded in the background. MULTI-DEVICE SYNC Access your files from any device. Sia Storage syncs your encrypted library across devices through your indexer — add a file on your phone, see it on your desktop. FILE VERSIONING Upload updated versions of files and browse their history. Sia Storage keeps track of versions so you never lose previous work. HOW IT WORKS Traditional cloud storage trusts a single company with your data. Sia splits your encrypted files across dozens of independent hosts using erasure coding. Even if hosts go offline, your data remains available and intact. Learn more in the app's built-in guides. IMPORT FROM ANYWHERE Take a photo or video directly in the app, choose from your photo library, or import from the Files app. Share files from any app on your phone directly into Sia Storage. OPEN SOURCE Sia Storage is built by The Sia Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to decentralized storage. The app is fully open source.
