With Synctrain you can securely synchronize files with other devices that have Syncthing installed. You can choose to synchronize full folders, or choose specific files. With Synctrain you can also stream audio and video files from other devices. When you synchronize files, all changes, including deleting files, also happen on your other devices. Do not use Synctrain for back-up purposes, and always keep a back-up of your data. You decide with which devices you share which files. This also means the app makers cannot help you access or recover any lost files. This app is powered by Syncthing. This app is however not associated with or endorsed by Syncthing nor its developers. Please do not expect support from the Syncthing developers. Instead, contact the maker of this app if you have questions.
Rondin

Rondin keeps photos, notes and reminders organized by where they happened. Not by date, not by chat: by place. Leave yourself a note at a place and it waits there for you. Or set an arrival alert: write "Buy the oranges Liza recommended," pick your grocery store, and the next time you arrive your phone shows it to you, even with the app closed. Your places take just seconds to save, so there is no setup each time you want to record something. Need it every time? A recurring alert returns on each visit until the date you choose. The photos you took last time are right there when you open the app on your return. Pin the places that matter to you: a client property, a job site, a rental, a trailhead, the restaurant you keep meaning to go back to. Then shoot with the camera you already use. Rondin reads the location saved in each photo and files it to the right place. No sorting, no albums, no remembering. Open the app on site and that place is already in front of you: every photo, video and note you ever filed there, newest first, grouped by visit. A note written at 2 AM at a client property stays with that client forever. WHAT IT DOES • Places: a spot on the map with a radius, named and abbreviated however you like. • Arrival alerts: write a reminder, pick one of your places, and your phone shows it to you when you get there, even with the app closed. Once, or on every visit until a date you choose. They reach your Apple Watch too, like any iPhone notification. • Photos and videos, filed automatically. Turn on the photo library integration and new geotagged shots file themselves to your places. Or import by hand, any time, with no permission at all. • Notes pinned to places, with a flag for anything that needs attention. • Visit logging, optional: arrivals and departures stamped per place, for an automatic record. • A feed for each place, or across all of them, in the layout you prefer. • Search across everything you have written. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Rondin has no subscriptions, no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no in-app purchases. Your records live on your phone and in your own iCloud, encrypted by Apple, where the developer cannot see them. Photo library access is optional, and when you allow it the app opens a picture only if its location falls inside one of your places; nothing else is ever looked at. Your location is never tracked: only if you turned it on, iOS tells the app when you cross into or out of a place you defined, and when you have moved a long way, so it can choose which of your places to watch. Those positions are used on the spot and never stored. Rondín is the Spanish word for a watchman's round. The app began at ISG Security Services, a patrol company in Dallas, where every shift produces dozens of photos across client properties and every useful question meant digging through a camera roll. The same idea turned out to serve anyone whose work or life happens at places worth remembering. Requires iOS 26 or later.

Verdict
The clearest difference is device support: Synctrain at 3 against Rondin's 1. Synctrain also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
