Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ziare.com at 199 against Stiri pe Surse's 1. Ziare.com also leads on review sentiment (36% vs 16%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Stiri pe Surse's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Stiri pe Surse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ziare.com has 199 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Ziare.com's written reviews are positive against 16% of Stiri pe Surse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Ziare.com ships an update monthly, Stiri pe Surse every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
