Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: EMIRATES 24/7 at 5.0 against صحيفة الإمارات اليوم's 3.4. صحيفة الإمارات اليوم's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 20%) and ratings volume (21 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
EMIRATES 24/7 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: صحيفة الإمارات اليوم has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of صحيفة الإمارات اليوم's written reviews are positive against 20% of EMIRATES 24/7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
صحيفة الإمارات اليوم ships an update every 4 months, EMIRATES 24/7 every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
