SmarTracks Coach
Read full descriptionHide full description
The SmarTracks Coach App puts the coach at the center of the training world. Developed for smartphones and tablets, the app offers you as a coach a platform for high-precision measurement of running times and steps. The app works in conjunction with a SmarTracks DX5.0 sensor, which makes it possible to measure the time of a run at a frequency of 500Hz. In addition to the sensor, you only need a sports facility equipped with the integrated SmarTracks system. If you don't have one of these SmarTracks locations around the corner, you can also use the SmarTracks DX5.0 sensor in the app with a Mobile Gates Set. Live results - Split times in seconds and 1/100th of a second Results in the app and via SmarTracks Online (https://online.smartracks.run/) - Steps per minute (spm) - Number of steps - Distances - Speed (m/s) Requirements for the equipment The app is designed for use with a belt that holds the sensor on the lower back. Results from using the app with the sensor in other positions on the athlete's body will be less accurate. DX5.0 sensors and running belts can be purchased from Humotion: https://go.smartracks.run/quote#form. *Note: Part of SmarTracks Pro Subscription, in development.
Wind Correction
Read full descriptionHide full description
In athletics, wind conditions are a crucial factor for every athlete. Wind Correction is the first app that lets you accurately calculate what your time or measurement would have been under any desired wind conditions. Wondering how your performance might change with a neutral wind? Or curious to see your potential with a more favorable breeze? Simply select your event, input your recorded result along with the wind conditions you experienced, and choose the wind value you want to test. Wind Correction will do the rest! The app’s algorithm is based on the studies and research of M. Moinat, O. Fabius, and K.S. Emanuel. Their findings were published in 2018 in the article, Data-Driven Quantification of the Effect of Wind on Athletics Performance.
