Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: DrinkLink at none against Simply Fish's shown. DrinkLink also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Simply Fish's advantage is ratings volume (43 vs 4) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DrinkLink holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simply Fish has 43 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Simply Fish ships an update every 3 weeks, DrinkLink every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
