About

BB Companion

Features

Build a legal Blood Bowl team in a couple of minutes, and find the rule you need in two taps. Sevens and the eleven-a-side game both. BB Companion is a preparation and reference tool for coaches. Pick your game, pick a roster, buy your squad against the treasury, and see exactly why your list is or is not legal before an organiser does. PICK YOUR GAME Sevens or eleven-a-side, chosen when you make a team. The treasury follows it, 600K or a million, and so do the squad limits, the sideline prices and the tier lists you are offered. Your teams list gets 7s and 11s filters once you keep both. BUILD A ROSTER All 30 official teams and every player type they hire, with characteristics, starting skills and prices. The treasury counts down as you buy, and if you go over it the app says by how much instead of stopping you. Squad size, how many of each player you may take, the Sevens cap of four positionals and the Sevens Veteran are all checked for you. Re-rolls, staff and Dedicated Fans are priced for your own team and your own game. KNOW WHY IT IS LEGAL Tap Legal or Illegal for the whole checklist: every condition the app checks, the numbers behind each one, and a tick or a cross. It opens on a legal roster too, so you can see what was checked before you send your list anywhere. INVENT A ROSTER OF YOUR OWN For the team Games Workshop never printed. Your own positions, with characteristics, keywords, skill access and starting skills, or start from an official roster and change that. The app suggests what each position ought to cost, fitted against what the official thirty charge for players like that, and says how far off yours is. It never stops you: it is your roster. After that it behaves like any other. The budget, the caps, the Veteran, Play mode and the printed sheet all treat it alike. Place it in a tier list, your own or one you did not write, so a ruling can grant it something, and hand the roster to a friend as a file. PLAY TO A TOURNAMENT RULING Two Sevens tier lists: Games Workshop's, and a community one built from tournament results. They disagree about nine of the thirty teams, so the app shows you both and never picks a winner. Games Workshop's eleven-a-side list is in too. Three rulings come with it: None for vanilla play, BB Companion for a skills-by-tier event, and Games Workshop's own Sevens ruling with Skill Points, caps and Elite skills. Or write your own, caps and all, and remove the inducements your event does not use. Organising it yourself? Export a tier list or a ruling, hand it to every coach coming, and their rosters get checked against it. ON THE PITCH Play mode shows the team as it takes the field: one numbered card per player, not a counter reading three. Your Veteran shows its Movement already reduced, so you are not doing the subtraction every time you activate them. Pin the rules you keep reaching for and they stay a tap away with dice in your hand. RULES AND TABLES Hundreds of searchable entries: rules sections, dice tables, every team special rule, and all 108 skills and traits. It opens on the game you last built for, and the rules one game states for itself are marked, as are the ones they replace. Every skill and keyword is a link, so you can follow a chain of rules and walk back out again. The Sevens kick-off, injury and Argue the Call tables are all in. FIND A TEAM Search by name or by roster, keep the ones you play as favourites, and sort by name, by date, or by team. SHARE IT Copy your list as text for a chat, export it as a file another coach can import, or print a PDF with every skill on the team explained underneath. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO YET There is no match-day tracker, and no league or season play. Both are next. Nothing is backed up. Your teams live on this device, there is no account, and you are never asked for one. Blood Bowl is a trademark of Games Workshop Limited. This app is unofficial fan content and is neither endorsed by nor affiliated with Games Workshop.
