Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: DayCalc at 87% against Calculator Plus Pro's 36%. DayCalc also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (128 vs 35). Calculator Plus Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. DayCalc sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Calculator Plus Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Calculator Plus Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 128 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of DayCalc's written reviews are positive against 36% of Calculator Plus Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DayCalc ships an update every 3 weeks, Calculator Plus Pro every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
