Pacebase is an all-in-one toolkit for managing your energy-limiting chronic condition, like POTS and ME/CFS. We turn your Apple Watch into a powerful tool for measuring and understanding your body, and its limits. Our Body Score uses several of your bodies biomarkers to give you a simple, accurate measure of how your body recovered from the day before, through a straightforward 50-100-point scale. Our Body Budget suggests the amount of time you can expect to safely go above your anaerobic threshold for the day to minimize crashing. It also comes with an helpful Apple Watch widget, which updates continuously throughout the day. A subscription is required to use Pacebase, but we offer a 14-day risk-free trial period within the app. No commitment is required. MindfulPacer

MindfulPacer helps you keep a close eye on your energy levels. The app analyzes steps and heart rate via Apple Health or live from your Apple Watch. ACTIVITY PACING Set personal biometric limits and get notifications on your Apple Watch or iPhone as soon as they’re exceeded. All events are automatically saved in a journal as “Reflections” and linked to activities, helping you spot patterns that drain your energy—and avoid them. CUSTOMIZABLE Set your own thresholds and choose appropriate time intervals. You can also tailor the type and intensity of notifications. JOURNAL Log threshold crossings, link them to activities, and add symptoms or comments. These Reflections help you see how your activities relate to your overall well-being. ANALYTICS Visualize your biometric data and Reflections over different time ranges to identify recurring patterns. OUTREACH Explore current research, pacing tips, and background knowledge on our blog. Connect with others about your activity pacing strategy. PRIVACY Your data belongs to you. All data you collect with MindfulPacer is stored only within the app on your device (not on any server). You can export it anytime in Settings—for your own records or to share with a healthcare professional. Note: Biometric data (steps and heart rate) measured with Apple Watch may also be stored in Apple’s iCloud by default. Pacebase's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
