Early access: the full Latin course, free for now. Learn Latin the way you actually remember it — by answering questions, not memorising tables. LatinLearn takes you from your very first Latin words to reading real Latin, one short lesson at a time. Every idea is broken into bite-sized questions — parsing, meaning, and translating real phrases — so progress feels steady and never overwhelming. • Start from zero — no prior Latin needed • Short lessons that fit your day • Learn grammar through use, with gentle hints, not rote rules • Build toward reading real Latin authors • Track your progress and keep a daily streak • A Library of real Latin: Virgil, Ovid, Cicero, Livy, Pliny and more • Taught in English, French, German or Italian — your choice Whether you are learning for pleasure or taking Latin at school, LatinLearn meets you where you are. The vocabulary is built on the DCC Latin Core Vocabulary, the 1,000 most frequent words in Latin literature, and the grammar takes you from the first declension through participles and indirect statement to the subjunctive. You learn to produce Latin as well as read it, until the forms come without thinking and real Latin starts to open up. Two ways in The course is a story: a Roman family in Ostia, the port of Rome, which you follow chapter by chapter while the grammar builds underneath, with every new form met in the story before you practise it. The Library is where you read real Latin: 68 texts from Virgil, Ovid, Cicero, Livy, Pliny and others, from the fall of Troy and Dido’s death to Pliny at Vesuvius and Cicero against Catiline. Each text is read from start to finish, a short section at a time. Every Latin word is glossed (tap it to see what it means), there are questions after each passage, and when a sentence won’t come together, tap Help me read it to see it in prose order, with a note on how it works. You can write your own translation and compare it with a model answer. Taught in French, German or Italian, the Library has a smaller selection so far, with more texts on the way.
